About us

The Niagara Regional Soccer Program is a program designed to deliver the highest level of training in the Niagara Region.  It will prepare players for what is expected of them to participate in the Ontario Player Development League OPDL. The program delivers high performance soccer training to talented males and females throughout southern Ontario.

NRSP players are in the Golden Horseshoe Soccer League.  The GHSL is the regional league for the south region under OS; serving Clubs in the Niagara Soccer Association, Hamilton & District Soccer Association and the Peel-Halton Soccer Association.  The GHSL features the best youth competitions for boys and girls from U13 to U18.

The Niagara Regional Soccer Program was created in 2015 as a result of the Ontario Soccer's newly mandated pyramid of play within the province of Ontario.

It was agreed, to compete with the two larger districts that the Niagara Regional Soccer Program would host the Elite Level teams. These teams would be made up of players from the 15 youth clubs. This would ensure that the Region's very best and most committed would compete alongside one another at the highest recognized level of play in the province.

OPDL is Canadian soccer's first standards-based, youth high performance league that combines top level competition with strict training standards employing certified coaching and Technical leadership. This exciting new youth, high performance program is an important component in the overall movement to adopt the core principles of Long Term Player Development (LTPD) across soccer throughout Ontario and Canada.
